I/We, the undersigned Adopter's understand and agree to the following terms and conditions of this contract to adopt the dog, further described within this document. I/we understand that non-compliance with the terms of this agreement gives Margaret's Saving Grace Bully Rescue (MSGBR) the right to reclaim this dog.In the event the adopter can no longer keep or provide for the dog, without refund of the adoption fee or other compensation. The contract shall remain in effect for the life of the dog, or until the return of the dog to Owner. If the dog is to pass the adopter is to provide proof of the dog's passing from a vet.


*Be 21 years of age
*If you rent your home you must have consent from your landlord to have a dog.We will require proof such as your lease or a written letter from your landlord.
* Have all dogs and cats in the home spayed or neutered, if they are 6 months or older, unless there are medical reasons for not doing so.
*Have all Pets in the home up to date on vaccinations.
*Agree to have a home visit done by one of our volunteers. The volunteer will need to see the areas of the home where the dog will be allowed and also visit with family members and current pets
*Agree to provide any and all medical care for your new adopted dog, such as vaccines, spay/neuter if not already done,flea & tick prevention, heart worm prevention.
*Agree to a spay/neuter contract. Pets 6 months or older you have three months to get spayed/neutered and return proof to MSGBR. Puppies we ask you spay/neuter at 6-8 months of age.


An adoption fee will be collected from the adopter at the time of adoption.The adoption fee is $300 (as of May 5, 2020) plus a signed spay/neuter contract.(This contract is separate and will need to be signed before adoption it can be located on our website or requested for) All fees are non-refundable.
I/we the adopter's, agree that I will keep and care for this dog in a safe and humane manner, and as a family pet and companion.
The dog will have appropriate food, water, shelter and medical care for the duration of its life.If the dog is to pass you are to provide proof of passing to the rescue. You as the adopter are to provide proof of vaccines to the rescue upon taking your new pet home. Such as completion of the puppies series of vaccines and proof of spay/neuter if your adopted pet isn’t already spayed/neutered. The dog shall not be chained outside for its life.
I agree to abide by all state and local animal control and leash laws. I understand it is my responsibility to become familiar with these laws and to license the dog according to all regulations.
I shall inform Margaret's Saving Grace Bully Rescue if I am no longer able to care for this dog and allow 14 days time for the prior owner(MSGBR) to exercise their retained Right of First Refusal and to reclaim the dog. Notice must be in written communication and if I re-home without the express written consent to do so, I shall pay Margaret's Saving Grace Bully Rescue a “fine” of $5000.00
I understand that the rescue makes no guarantees or warranties regarding the health or temperament of this dog. I agree to be fully and solely responsible for this animal, and for any damages that may result from its actions. Margret's Saving Grace Bully Rescue, its heirs or representatives, shall not be held liable for the behavior of this dog or any damages it may cause. I understand that Margaret's Saving Grace Bully Rescue has attempted to provide the most accurate and up to date information for the dog. If dog is unaltered at the time of adoption, adopter agrees to have dog altered within 90 days of adoption or after dog reaches 6 months of age by signing the separate spay/neuter contract. Certain breeds may require alteration at an older age due to growth plate maturity. We agree to accept recommendation of adopter’s vet if it is in written communication on vet’s letterhead and signed by authorized representative.

After the adoption is approved the Adoption Coordinator will work with you to meet the requirements needed so you can adopt your new pet as smoothly as possible. Transport can be arranged upon adoption of the dog. You will have 72 hours to get your new pet into your vet for a wellness exam.
Margaret's Saving Grace Bully Rescue cannot be held accountable for the dog showing any signs of aggression if we were not aware of it before the dog leaving. Any and all behavior observed at the rescue will be fully disclosed to the adopter prior to the adoption being finalized. We understand that sometimes dog's temperaments change in different situations. All adopted dogs should be allowed a decompression period to adjust to new homes, persons and situations.
Your new family member will come with health records, and any information that you may need to know.
